Director of Engineering
About The Position
The Director of Engineering oversees the design, development, and delivery of manufactured devices for defense, aerospace, and industrial customers. This role leads the engineering organization, including staffing, employee development, and performance, and drives product development in line with customer specifications, budgets, and regulatory standards. The Director serves as a liaison across the organization, oversees internally funded R&D projects, supports proposal preparation, and presents technical content to customers and management. The role also advances AS9100 compliance and Lean/5S manufacturing principles and formulates engineering policies to improve competitiveness and profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering or project management leadership.
- Knowledge of power/energy storage battery systems.
- Must be a U.S. Person.
Nice To Haves
- Master's degree preferred.
- DoD application experience strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with hazardous chemicals, robotics, and explosive materials.
