About The Position

Laurel Ridge Treatment Center is a beautiful 29 acre and 330 bed Behavioral Health Care facility in North San Antonio. For over 40 years, Laurel Ridge has been serving the greater San Antonio community with high-quality behavioral healthcare services. The Director of Engineering / Plant Operations is a key member of the Laurel Ridge Treatment Center Leadership Team who ensures the maintenance of a safe, clean, healing environment for patients and staff including regulatory compliance and Life Safety. Strong project management skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and working knowledge of behavioral health care safety regulatory standards and construction protocol. The Director of Engineering / Plant Operations serves as the facility Subject Matter Expert on environment of care, building and engineering codes, maintenance and operations of HVAC equipment plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and grounds maintenance.

Requirements

5-8 years of experience in facility or high regulatory setting preferred
Knowledge of behavioral health management state and federal regulatory requirements
Valid Texas Driver License
Proven leadership experience
Proven ability to manage projects

Responsibilities

Managing facility assets, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and structural components
Develops and implements maintenance schedules for equipment, buildings, and grounds
Responsible for Environment of Care, Life Safety, and facility Safety Officer
Oversees and leads maintenance team, contractors, housekeeping, and vendors
