About The Position

As a Director of Energy, you will lead Quikrete’s enterprise-wide energy strategy across North America, overseeing procurement, risk management, market intelligence, sustainability, and operational support for natural gas, electricity, solid and liquid fuels. Drive cost optimization, supply reliability, regulatory compliance, and long-term business value while partnering with executive leadership.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Energy Management, or related field.
10–15 years of industrial energy procurement/management experience with 5+ years leading teams.
Expertise in energy markets, strategic sourcing, commodity risk, contract negotiation, and financial planning.
Strong executive communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Strategic leadership, executive presence, commercial negotiation expertise, financial acumen, and the ability to translate complex energy market data into business decisions while building high-performing teams.

Nice To Haves

MBA/CEM and heavy manufacturing or construction materials experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute enterprise energy strategy, procurement, and risk management.
Lead and develop Energy Management team and standardize best practices.
Oversee sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationships, and commodity strategies.
Provide market intelligence, budgeting, forecasting, cost reduction, and executive reporting.
Support capital projects, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and infrastructure initiatives.
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Legal, EH&S, and Supply Chain.
Ensure regulatory compliance, governance, sustainability, and audit readiness.
