Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree; preferably in EH&S, or related field.
  • 10+ years’ experience in safety management role.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA Regulations, DOT Regulations and Management Systems.
  • Experience with Process Safety and Risk Management programs.
  • Experience developing, managing, and implementing worker’s compensation claims management programs.
  • Experience leading/coaching teams in the improvement of business processes and operational performance.

  • Master’s degree in EH&S a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow a world-class Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) team, partnering with plant leadership to drive world-class performance.
  • Coach and develop EH&S team members while collaborating with leaders at every level, from senior leadership to front-line employees.
  • Track key performance indicators and lead continuous improvement efforts across the business unit.
  • Build EH&S strategies that align with corporate goals and reduce operational risk.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EH&S regulations through strong processes and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct regular observations, inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Manage hazardous chemicals and lead efforts to prevent environmental pollution.
  • Oversee regulatory documentation, recordkeeping, and permitting to meet all deadlines.
  • Lead incident response and investigation, driving corrective and preventive actions through practical engineering solutions.
  • Oversee workplace injury cases in line with workers' compensation practices and the transitional return-to-work program.
  • Deliver EH&S training, including new hire orientation and contractor communication.
