About The Position

The Director of Education assists the Executive Director in overseeing the school, with a focus on educational programming, classroom observations, and staff training & development. As the Director of Education, you will assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school in the absence of the Executive Director. You will work in conjunction with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies, and abide by and enforce all terms of The Malvern School Employee Manual. You will produce written work for parents, staff, peers, and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness. You will strive to achieve goals in all areas of your position to promote the school's and the company's growth and prosperity. You will also lead or assist in classrooms (as needed) in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field)
  • Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required
  • Supervisory experience, required
  • Experience writing and reviewing lesson plans, required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of NAEYC, preferred
  • Experience observing classroom lessons, preferred
