About The Position

The Malvern School is seeking a Director of Education in Valley Forge, PA. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. The Director of Education assists the Executive Director in overseeing the school, with a focus on educational programming, classroom observations, and staff training & development. The role involves assuming responsibility for daily operations in the Executive Director's absence, ensuring compliance with licensing/accrediting agencies, adhering to the Employee Manual, producing high-quality written work, and striving to achieve goals for the school's and company's growth. The position may also require leading or assisting in classrooms to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education (with a minimum of 24 credits in the field)
Two years teaching experience in Early Childhood Education, required
Supervisory experience, required
Experience writing and reviewing lesson plans, required
Experience observing classroom lessons, preferred

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of NAEYC, preferred

Responsibilities

Assume responsibility for the daily operations and every aspect of the school in the absence of the Executive Director.
Work in conjunction with the Executive Director to ensure compliance with all licensing/accrediting agencies.
Abide by and enforce all terms of The Malvern School Employee Manual.
Produce written work for parents, staff, peers and supervisors that is of above-standard quality in composition, content, and timeliness.
Strive to achieve goals in all areas of position to promote the school's and the company's growth and prosperity.
Lead or assist in classrooms (as needed) in order to maintain ratios, meet financial goals, and serve as a role model.
