The Century Foundation (TCF) is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and experienced Director of Economic Policy to lead its economic policy team. This role involves conducting research and developing proposals aimed at restoring power to workers, families, and consumers, and tangibly improving Americans' daily lives. The director will focus on a range of issues including labor market dynamics, macroeconomic conditions, wealth inequality, artificial intelligence, financial markets, and consumer protection, with a particular emphasis on how power dynamics shape the economy. The position requires bringing unique expertise, setting the direction for TCF's economic policy work, devising policy strategies to influence policymakers, and producing original research and writing. Collaboration with other TCF policy teams on domestic and international policy issues is also a key aspect of the role. The ideal candidate will possess extensive policy, research, and quantitative analytical skills, a network of contacts in public policy, press, and philanthropy, and a demonstrated interest in analyzing disparities in wages, wealth, and power based on race, gender, immigration, and disability status. TCF is committed to addressing the crisis facing working families and democracy by fighting for policies that restore power to workers, families, and consumers and improve daily lives, utilizing research, data analysis, policy development, polling, messaging research, and partnerships with advocacy groups to reshape markets and build an economy that works for working people.
