About The Position

This role involves overseeing the implementation and continuous improvement of high-quality preschool and early learning programs. The Director will develop and manage departmental budgets, grants, contracts, and resources to ensure effective and efficient program operations. This position requires supervision and evaluation of Early Childhood administrators, instructional staff, and support personnel to promote excellence in teaching and learning. The Director will also collaborate with school leaders, families, community organizations, and external partners to strengthen early childhood services and supports, promoting equitable access to high-quality early learning experiences and ensuring inclusive practices for multilingual learners, students with disabilities, and diverse student populations.

Requirements

  • Hold both a New Jersey Instructional Certificate and a New Jersey Principal or School Administrator Certificate.
  • Hold a master’s degree preferably in Early Childhood Education.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of administrative experience.
  • Have excellent integrity and demonstrate good moral character and initiative.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of preschool curriculum and assessment, youth development, child growth and development, effective instructional strategies, classroom management.
  • Demonstrate the ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, digital technology to augment authentic learning, information retrieval, visual and audio presentations, and telecommunications.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Use proper grammar and vocabulary with students, staff and the community.

  • Excellent experience teaching and working with students in grades Pre K - 3.
