The Director of Dining Services is responsible for the overall success of dining operations, delivering an exceptional guest experience, strong financial performance, and full compliance with Eurest and Compass Group standards. This leader oversees all foodservice activities, including retail, café, and catering, while driving operational excellence, team development, and client satisfaction.

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of foodservice management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience with budgeting, P&L, and labor management
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and foodservice systems

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver a best-in-class guest experience with 97%+ satisfaction scores
  • Maintain a visible, hands-on leadership presence during service periods
  • Oversee all foodservice operations (retail, café, catering)
  • Ensure execution of menus, recipes, and food quality standards
  • Maintain 100% compliance with food safety, sanitation, and safety regulations (HACCP/OSHA)
  • Lead, coach, and develop salaried managers and hourly associates
  • Manage hiring, training, performance management, and employee relations
  • Develop schedules to ensure proper staffing and labor efficiency
  • Oversee budgeting, P&L performance, inventory, and cost controls
  • Complete operational and financial reporting accurately and on time
  • Partner with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives
