About The Position

York General is seeking a dynamic and clinically skilled Director of Dietary Services / Registered Dietitian to lead our hospital nutrition and food service operations. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing dietary services, clinical nutrition care, regulatory compliance, budgeting, staffing, and quality improvement initiatives while actively providing medical nutrition therapy to patients. This position plays a key role in supporting patient satisfaction, interdisciplinary collaboration, and York General’s Service Excellence culture.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited dietetic program and a Licensed Medical Nutrition Therapist in the State of Nebraska
• Minimum 1 year of clinical dietitian experience
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, food safety, quality improvement, and clinical nutrition care
• Effective problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills!

Responsibilities

• Lead the show for hospital nutrition and food service
• Keep menus, meals, and nutrition care top‑notch and patient‑focused
• Build, budget, and improve programs that keep us survey‑ready
• Hire, coach, and support a great dietary team
• Partner with clinical teams to deliver excellent nutrition care
• Bring fresh ideas that support quality, safety, and service excellence
