Director of Development - Fox Chase Cancer Center
About The Position
The Director of Development (DOD) is a leader advancing Fox Chase Cancer Center’s research and clinical mission and serves as a senior fundraiser on the External Relations Staff. The role manages a portfolio of approximately 80–100 donors and prospects, helps direct and coordinate key fundraising initiatives, and builds relationships with some of the enterprise’s top donors. The Director of Development implements long- and short-term plans to build fundraising support for Temple Health’s clinical programs and secure major and planned gifts from patients, families, friends, and philanthropists in support of Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple Health, and the University’s mission, objectives, and priorities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
- Five years of experience developing and sustaining relationships with key donors, volunteer leadership, and senior staff.
- Seven years of experience raising and closing major gifts.
Nice To Haves
- Master’s degree.
- Five years of experience cultivating and securing gifts within a medical organization.
- Five years of experience identifying donors and relationships.
- General experience in a clinical or medical fundraising setting.
