About The Position

Phoenix House Florida is a nonprofit behavioral healthcare organization that provides evidence-based residential and outpatient treatment services for individuals and families facing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health challenges. The organization is seeking a dynamic, accomplished, results-driven fundraising professional to lead its fundraising efforts, strengthen philanthropic partnerships, and generate sustainable financial support for its mission.

Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Director of Development & Philanthropy is solely responsible for building and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy. The strategy encompasses individual giving, corporate partnerships, major gifts, private foundation funding, planned giving, and special events. This is a hands-on fundraising leadership position, not simply an event-planning or fundraising-support role. The successful candidate is a relationship builder, strategic thinker, confident solicitor, and self-motivated professional who thrives on measurable results.

Requirements

• Proven fundraising experience with a record of personally cultivating donors, soliciting contributions, securing major gifts, developing corporate sponsorships, and generating philanthropic revenue.
• Ability to build relationships, think strategically, and solicit contributions confidently.
• Self-motivated, results-driven approach and ability to achieve measurable outcomes.
