About The Position
The Greater St. Louis Area Scouting is seeking a dynamic Director of Development, Annual Giving & Stewardship to lead key fundraising and donor engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for growing annual giving, strengthening donor relationships, and ensuring supporters remain connected to the life-changing impact of Scouting. The position serves as a fundraising specialist focused on annual campaigns, donor stewardship, donor communications, and volunteer engagement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum of five years of fundraising, nonprofit development, relationship management, sales, marketing, or related experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience engaging volunteers, donors, or community stakeholders.
- Passion for helping youth and strengthening communities.
Nice To Haves
- CRM/database experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow the Council's annual giving program and fundraising campaigns.
- Develop strategies to increase donor participation and annual fund revenue.
- Coordinate volunteer fundraising efforts and leadership giving initiatives.
- Plan and execute donor recognition and stewardship programs.
- Create meaningful donor communications, including newsletters, impact reports, and campaign updates.
- Strengthen relationships with donors, volunteers, alumni, and community leaders.
- Track fundraising progress and provide reporting to leadership.
