About The Position

The Director of Deposit Pricing Strategy supports the Deposit Pricing Committee and contributes to the broader liquidity, funding, earnings, and interest rate risk strategy of the organization. This role leads the development and execution of deposit pricing strategies across consumer and commercial portfolios, balancing growth, retention, profitability, and balance sheet objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related area of study.
Ten years of experience supporting deposit pricing, treasury, liquidity, funding, ALM, or balance sheet management within a banking organization.
Experience preparing executive reporting, committee materials, business recommendations, and management presentations.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex analytics into clear, actionable business recommendations.
Demonstrated analytical skills evaluating deposit costs, pricing trends, customer behavior, and market dynamics.
Background in deposit products and pricing at a bank.
Ability to influence decision-making through data-driven insights, executive reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

Develops pricing recommendations across consumer and commercial deposit portfolios to support funding, earnings, and liquidity objectives.
Analyzes deposit rates, balances, betas, repricing trends, and customer pricing behavior across interest rate cycles.
Partners with Treasury, Finance, Product, and business leaders to execute deposit pricing strategies and initiatives.
Owns deposit rate sheet for standard and non-standard rates.
Prepares recurring DPC materials, management reporting, and pricing performance analytics.
Supports governance processes, pricing decisions, action tracking, and non-standard rate documentation.
Communicates pricing insights, recommendations, and outcomes to senior management and key stakeholders.
Monitors competitor pricing, deposit betas, repricing trends, and customer pricing behavior across changing rate environments.
Benchmark deposit products, rates, and performance against peer institutions and market leaders.
Identifies emerging risks and deposit pricing opportunities based on competition, interest rates, and geography opportunities.
Manages relationships with external pricing and analytics providers, including Curinos and other market intelligence vendors.
Leverages third-party data and tools to enhance pricing decisions, reporting, and competitive insights.
Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports.
Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the firm.
Observes all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role and raises and reports known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
Meets all the client's financial needs, both business and personal, and refers clients to other specialty areas such as Trust, Investments, Insurance, Treasury Management, etc. as appropriate.
Assists other team members as needed to ensure delivery of distinctive service.
Performs other related duties as required.
