About The Position

The Director of Demand + Supply Operations is responsible for leading the global demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and operations planning functions to support company growth. This role oversees the end-to-end planning process to ensure product availability, optimized inventory levels, operational efficiency, and alignment with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance strategies. The leader will scale planning processes, enhance forecast accuracy, drive cross-functional collaboration with sales and product development, and guide a high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (APICS, IBF, Supply Chain, Operations, or Analytics) preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in demand/supply planning, operations management including distribution; experience in beauty/CPG strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams and scaling processes in a high-growth environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel, forecasting tools, ERP systems, and reporting platforms.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and partner cross-functionally.
  • Google Suite, MS Office, MS Business Central or similar ERP systems (NetSuite, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the global Operations team building a high-performance culture.
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner for Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure alignment between business objectives and operational planning.
  • Develop and refine long-range demand and supply strategies that support profitable growth.
  • Build and embed scalable planning frameworks and process rhythms across the organization.
  • Improve forecast accuracy/bias through analytics, retailer insights, and links to integrated marketing planning.
  • Lead the forecast review process, ensuring data-driven decision-making with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor sales trends and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken to mitigate risk.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, working collaboratively to optimize timelines and shared efficiencies. Oversee management of production timelines and supplier performance.
  • Define optimal inventory levels and ensure alignment between supply and demand.
  • Support new product introductions by aligning supply timelines and forecasts with launch plans.
  • Oversee lifecycle management for seasonal, discontinued, and promotional products.
  • Design and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration.
  • Develop routine and ad-hoc reporting for senior leadership to support data-driven decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, reporting standards, and operational controls.
  • In conjunction with Human Resources, oversee recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career development for direct reports.
  • Maintain training programs and materials to support team capability-building.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive environment aligned with M+G values.

Benefits

  • The estimated salary range for this position is $140,000-160,000.
