About The Position

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Director of Deliver Operations Planning. This role can be located at a Johnson & Johnson site within the United States (NJ, PA, CA, FL, TX, or Guaynabo, Puerto Rico), or internationally in Zug, Switzerland, or São Paulo, Brazil. The Director, Deliver Operations Planning is accountable for leading and governing Deliver operations planning execution across a multi‑region network of distribution centers and transportation partners. This role ensures consistent application of established Deliver planning standards, effective integration into Integrated Business Planning (IBP), and strong operational performance across service, cost, cash, and resilience outcomes. The Director enables enterprise decision‑making through planning insight, scenario execution, and cross‑functional alignment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in supply chain planning, operations planning, or deliver/network planning within a global environment
  • Demonstrated leadership in Planning and IBP integration
  • Proven ability to lead teams and influence cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Minimum of 8 years overall business experience is required, preferably focused on Planning/Deliver/Strategy and management of large programs.
  • Proven success working in a complex, highly matrixed, global organization with constantly evolving priorities and tight timelines.
  • Validated ownership of IBP process and linkage to P&L/working capital
  • Demonstrated impact in increasingly complex leadership roles, including roles requiring orchestration and leadership by influence; E2E mentality and collaboration.
  • Strong understanding of core Order Fulfillment processes (Customer Service, Warehousing and Transportation)
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead global execution of Deliver Operations Planning activities within established planning frameworks and standards.
  • Ensure regional planning teams operate consistently and effectively within agreed planning guardrails.
  • Monitor planning performance and drive corrective actions where gaps exist.
  • Lead Deliver supply and capacity planning across owned and 3PL distribution centers and transportation partners.
  • Ensure accurate and timely visibility of capacity constraints, risks, and trade‑offs across the Deliver network.
  • Support regional Deliver teams in executing capacity aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead execution of Deliver inventory planning in accordance with established policies and targets.
  • Monitor inventory performance across regions, balancing service, cost, and working capital objectives.
  • Drive actions to address inventory risks, imbalances, and exception conditions.
  • Own Deliver Operations Planning inputs, analysis, and recommendations into IBP processes, including Supply Review and Management Business Review.
  • Execute Deliver planning scenarios and trade‑off analyses to support enterprise decision‑making.
  • Represent Deliver planning outcomes in IBP forums and leadership discussions.
  • Execute approved scenario planning related to allocation, mode mix, network risks, and launches.
  • Provide clear insights on operational and financial implications of Deliver planning scenarios.
  • Support leadership decisions through fact‑based planning analysis and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with global Deliver planning standards, controls, and governance expectations.
  • Monitor planning effectiveness through KPIs, indicators, and maturity assessments.
  • Escalate risks, gaps, and exceptions in line with governance and decision forums.
  • Proactively identify Deliver operational risks and vulnerabilities through planning execution.
  • Support mitigation actions and contingency planning.
  • Enable resilient planning outcomes through disciplined execution and monitoring.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Deliver Operations Planning teams and key planning contributors.
  • Partner closely with Regional Deliver Operations, E2E Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, and Finance.
  • Influence stakeholders through clear communication of planning insights, risks, and trade‑offs.
