About The Position

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a(n) Director, Deliver Plan, located in Raynham, Massachusetts OR Raritan NJ. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes. The Director, Deliver Plan is a senior finance and tax leader responsible for overseeing planning and delivery execution across the DePuy Synthes supply chain from a tax and financial perspective. This role ensures that supply chain planning, fulfillment, and delivery activities are executed in a manner that is compliant, financially sound, and aligned with global tax requirements. The position partners closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Tax, and Operations leadership to drive disciplined planning, manage risk, and support business performance—particularly critical as DePuy Synthes transitions to a standalone organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field required.
  • Typically requires 10-12 years of progressive experience in finance, tax, or supply chain roles with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated expertise in supply chain planning, delivery execution, and associated financial and tax considerations.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross‑functional initiatives in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain tax principles, controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing leaders and senior professionals, including performance management and talent development.
  • English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in a medical device, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industry.
  • Familiarity with integrated business planning (IBP), supply chain planning systems, or ERP platforms.
  • Experience supporting business separations, carve‑outs, or major operating model changes.
  • Background partnering with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Experience driving continuous improvement or transformation initiatives across supply chain delivery.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
  • CPA or supply chain‑related certifications preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for supply chain deliver and planning activities from a finance and tax perspective, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee financial and tax considerations related to supply chain execution, including delivery flows, inventory movements, and cross‑border transactions.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Planning, Logistics, and Operations leaders to ensure deliver plans are financially optimized and tax compliant.
  • Establish governance, controls, and performance metrics to support consistent execution and audit readiness across supply chain delivery processes.
  • Lead cross‑functional initiatives to improve supply chain planning accuracy, execution efficiency, and risk management.
  • Provide executive‑level insights and recommendations on supply chain trade‑offs, risks, and opportunities related to tax and financial outcomes.
  • Manage and develop a team of managers and senior professionals, fostering strong performance, engagement, and succession planning.
  • Serve as a senior advisor to internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and advisors, on deliver‑related supply chain tax matters.
