About The Position

May Institute is seeking a passionate Director of Day Services to join their team in Raynham, MA. This role involves overseeing the operations and supervision of the Adult Day Habilitation Program, ensuring service quality, and complying with MassHealth and DPH regulations. The position focuses on supporting therapeutic programming to enhance the independence, self-determination, and productivity of the individuals served. The Director of Day Services reports directly to the Center Vice President.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is strongly preferred.
  • At least three years of relevant health care experience, of which at least two of those years must have been spent in a supervisory role.
  • Six years of relevant health care experience, with three of those years serving in a supervisory role, may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the demonstrated ability to lead and support a team.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of MassHealth and DPH regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Hire, supervise, and take appropriate personnel actions with staff.
  • Oversee scheduling, assign responsibilities, and support appropriate staffing and continuity of care.
  • Oversee therapeutic programming designed to increase independence in self-care, behavior management, recreation, activities of daily living, and other essential skills.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate procedures for meeting each individual’s goals and objectives.
  • Ensure individual plans and behavioral goals are implemented appropriately while remaining informed of relevant clinical changes through meetings, documentation, and reporting.
  • Evaluate and document individual progress, ensuring all required records are completed accurately and in accordance with May Institute, funder, and legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee program finances by managing the budget, petty cash, consumer accounts, financial records, receipts, and expense documentation.
  • Manage emergency preparedness and incident reporting, including Emergency Management Plan checklists and the timely documentation of incidents and physical-management interventions.
