About The Position

This is a rare opportunity to represent one of the country’s leading public radio corporate sponsorship teams. The role is for a strategic leader who wants to drive revenue for KCUR 89.3 | Classical KC 91.9 and its non-profit mission to serve the Kansas City region. Success in this role will be measured by managing an account list and demonstrating revenue performance for the team, evaluating market performance and developing a plan to increase activity and maximize revenue, nurturing talent to build and maintain positive working relationships between station employees and Enginuity colleagues, proficiency in leading and coaching a team on consulting skills, account development, and Enginuity systems/procedures, and maintaining a pipeline of mission-driven talent ready to join the team should the need arise. A typical day might involve helping the team develop creative, high-impact multimedia opportunities, collaborating with other Market Leaders, establishing relationships with the city's movers and shakers, leading by example to set strategy for team members to identify new business categories and close new accounts, growing community engagement with local business owners and C-suite decision-makers to generate leads, and engaging curiosity to further develop media expertise using KCUR | Classical KC content, features, digital assets, and events to expand sponsor offerings. Requirements

  • A confident and experienced leader who loves to excel and lead as a role model.
  • Experience as a creative media sales professional, adept at developing integrated multi-media campaigns that produce outstanding results.
  • A natural connector with a very strong local and regional network in and around Kansas City.
  • A visionary and a tactician who excels at setting a course for your sales team, coaching and guiding them to reach a common goal.
  • Ability to identify and develop new categories and key accounts.
  • Inspire your team through coaching and enthusiasm.
  • A clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership experience coaching a staff comprised of legacy and newer corporate sponsorship advisors.
  • Analytical thinking using quantitative and qualitative data to develop and create strategies.
