About The Position

This is a rare opportunity to represent one of the country’s leading public radio corporate sponsorship teams. The role is for a leader who loves to coach a staff comprised of legacy and newer corporate sponsorship advisors. It requires an analytical thinker who uses quantitative and qualitative data to develop and create strategies. The ideal candidate has a competitive gene that helps them build a team of winners to exponentially grow revenue, enjoys analyzing sales forecasts, identifying opportunities, and creating sales initiatives. Success in this role will be measured by managing an account list and demonstrating revenue performance for the team, evaluating market performance and developing a plan to increase activity and maximize revenue, nurturing talent to build and maintain positive working relationships, and proficiency in leading and coaching a team on consulting skills, account development, and systems/procedures. A pipeline of mission-driven talent ready to join the team should the need arise is also a measure of success.

Requirements

  • Confident and experienced leader who loves to excel and lead as a role model.
  • Experience as a creative media sales professional, adept at developing integrated multi-media campaigns that produce outstanding results.
  • Natural connector with a very strong local and regional network in and around Kansas City.
  • Visionary and a tactician who excels at setting a course for a sales team, coaching and guiding them to reach a common goal.
  • Ability to identify and develop new categories and key accounts.
  • Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage an Account List and demonstrate revenue performance for the team.
  • Evaluate market performance and develop a plan to increase activity and maximize revenue.
  • Nurture talent to build and maintain positive working relationships between station employees and Enginuity colleagues.
  • Lead and coach a team on consulting skills, account development, and Enginuity systems/procedures.
  • Develop creative, high-impact multimedia opportunities that provide outstanding results for public media sponsors.
  • Collaborate with other Market Leaders across the organization, learning and sharing insights.
  • Establish relationships with the city's movers and shakers and make existing partnerships your own.
  • Set the strategy for team members to identify new business categories and close new accounts.
  • Grow community and engage with local business owners and C-suite decision-makers to generate leads.
  • Engage curiosity, further develop media expertise, and use KCUR | Classical KC content, features, digital assets and events to expand sponsor offerings.
  • Drive revenue growth for the partner and do well by doing good.
