About The Position

Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Director of Construction to join their National Mission Critical team. In this role, you will oversee teams of 2 to 20 individuals with customer accounts ranging from $100M to $500M+ while managing Project Executives, Project Managers and Project Teams to build top talent and achieve highest customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering or Construction Management.
10+ years of construction project management experience
5+ years of Design-Build construction project management experience with leadership on projects handling accounts from $10 million to $250 million
Mission Critical data center experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure team members understand what is expected of them and hold them accountable for performance, provide regular feedback and have development conversations, delegate appropriate tasks and provide timely and meaningful recognition.
Assess and promote professional skill development and training for direct reports
Onboard and mentor direct reports towards best career path through mentorship and coaching
Implement, and hold team accountable to, corporate goals and initiatives
Develop contacts and quickly build relationships with potential clients
Play a key role in relationship building and management of customers
Make effective and convincing formal sales presentations to prospective customers
Effectively negotiates business and legal provisions of construction contracts
Consistently achieve customer satisfaction goals and raving fans
Consistently promote high levels of quality, design and profitability on projects
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the Ryan business model, including development, capital markets, design and engineering, preconstruction, and building services/property management
Promote innovation within Ryan and act as an ambassador to peers in other regions and divisions
Align Regional and Divisional priorities with peers to ensure high levels of execution, accountability and consistency.
