Director of Compliance
About The Position
The Director of Compliance is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to casino and general operations. This role involves overseeing the implementation and administration of Company compliance programs, internal controls, and reporting systems. Key responsibilities include the administration, management, and education related to Mississippi State Title 13 (Gaming) and state minimum internal control standards, gaming regulations, Title 31, other local, state, federal laws/regulations, and applicable Island View policies and procedures. The Director is also responsible for filing Mississippi Gaming Commission reports and other required regulatory agency filings. Additionally, this role involves the administration, management, and education of the Gaming Key System, gaming keys, and gaming locks. The Director serves as the liaison between the company and regulatory agencies and auditors, and performs daily reviews of all activity reports for compliance issues, working with departments to address deficiencies and promote best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Eight years AML Title 31, audit, fraud, compliance or risk-based experience required.
- Five years’ experience as a Compliance manager.
- An equivalent combination of education and relevant upper-level management experience.
- Must be able to obtain a Mississippi Gaming Permit.
