About The Position

As the Director of Compliance (Compliance Officer), you will play a critical role in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and regulatory excellence across Child Serve. Partnering with leaders and teams throughout the organization, you will lead and oversee our compliance program, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies while proactively identifying risks and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5 years in compliance oversight required.
  • Healthcare Compliance Certification required or willing to obtain within 1 year.
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively and professionally in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • Compliance experience in a healthcare environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the organizational compliance program including the development and implementation of policies and processes to ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Routinely assess and monitor the effectiveness of the organizational compliance program and report on program status as needed.
  • Lead compliance committee(s) with a clear purpose and scope and maintain all compliance-related information.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive process for reporting, assessing, and remediating compliance concerns, including oversight of the organizational whistleblower process.
  • Implement a monitoring and auditing system to ensure continuous compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal policies.
  • Complete proactive compliance risk assessments to identify areas of vulnerability and risk, including monitoring changes in laws, regulations, and industry guidelines.
  • Collaborate with leaders to identify compliance risks and gaps, develop solutions, conduct audits, and serve as a compliance resource.
  • Develop and implement an effective policy management system, ensuring policies address organizational risks, regulatory requirements, and clear expectations.
  • In collaboration with the training department, facilitate compliance education and training programs for new hires, employees, and leaders.
  • Serve as the organization's Privacy Officer, responding to staff inquiries, developing educational materials, investigating HIPAA concerns, managing breach response activities, and maintaining required compliance records.
