About The Position

As the Director of Compensation & Benefits, you will lead the strategy, design, and administration of our total rewards programs—including compensation, health and wellness benefits, retirement, and leave programs. You’ll partner closely with senior leadership to ensure our offerings are competitive, equitable, compliant, and aligned with organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Finance, or related field (master’s preferred)
  • 8+ years of progressive compensation and benefits experience
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to influence at the executive level
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to balance big-picture strategy with attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience (hospital, health system, or medical group) preferred
  • Professional certifications such as CCP, CBP, CEBS, SPHR, or SHRM-SCP are a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design and oversee compensation programs including base pay, incentives, and bonuses
  • Lead job architecture, leveling, and market pricing initiatives
  • Partner with executive leaders on workforce planning and financial modeling
  • Develop and manage health, retirement, wellness, and leave programs
  • Evaluate and manage vendors, brokers, and contracts
  • Drive employee engagement through clear benefits communication and education
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws and regulations (FLSA, ERISA, ACA, etc.)
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance on audits, reporting, and governance frameworks
  • Mentor and grow a team of compensation and benefits professionals
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR business partners and senior leadership
  • Use HRIS and analytics to guide decision-making
  • Deliver executive-level reporting and strategic recommendations
  • Build a holistic health and wellbeing strategy for team members and families
  • Stay ahead of market trends, legislation, and emerging practices
  • Measure program effectiveness and continuously improve outcomes
