About The Position

HOPE is seeking a Director of Community Support Program to direct and coordinate the planning and provision of Community Support program activities and services as it pertains to the CCBHC model. This role involves supervising and providing direction for client services, ensuring adherence to agency policies, CARF and DMHSAS standards, and confidentiality regulations. The position supports a recovery-focused, welcoming service environment for individuals needing behavioral health and/or co-occurring services, with an emphasis on trauma-informed care. The Director will establish professional working relationships, oversee clinical aspects of case management and therapy programs, and assist in developing program goals and outcome criteria. Key responsibilities include overseeing multiple treatment teams, managing program budgets, developing programs, providing input on staff performance, determining training needs, staying current with evidence-based practices, providing crisis intervention training, overseeing client transitions to lower service intensities, maintaining confidentiality, scheduling and supervising staff, utilizing collaborative documentation, participating in outreach, approving staff time sheets and leave requests, assisting with new staff orientation, ensuring staff monitor client eligibility for benefits, and staying knowledgeable about client needs. The role may require evening or weekend hours and involves other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Current Oklahoma State license in a Mental Health field (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LADC, etc.)
  • At least two years of supervisory experience.
  • Required to maintain any required licenses.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain First Aid and CPR Certifications
  • Required to complete, Therapeutic Options or approved safety training and annual updates.
  • Must possess current, valid Oklahoma license, meet HOPE insurance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Standards and criteria, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of consumers, employees of the organization, community partners, court personnel, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to relate to persons with severe mental illness in a positive, helpful, and constructive manner.
  • Knowledge of clinical treatment modalities and therapeutic processes.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and tactful working relationships with co-workers; to express ideas and facts clearly and concisely in written or oral form.
  • Personality and mature presentation of oneself demonstrating the ability to work with various systems while maintaining objectivity and cooperative attitude.
  • Employee must have vision enough to read written or typed data.
  • Employee must have hearing and speech enough to communicate effectively with staff, clients, and public in person or by phone.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to agency policy and procedures. Also adheres to CARF and DMHSAS standards and criteria, federal and state confidentiality rules and regulations, and any special funding source requirements including Medicaid and HCA regulations.
  • Supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives. Attends annual core competencies training in relationship to individuals with co-occurring disorders or who have experienced trauma in their lives.
  • Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with supervisor and peers to develop integrated service provisions with other programs. Can effectively work within a team or group setting cohesively.
  • Directs and supervises clinical aspects of the Supportive Services Case Management and Therapy program; this includes group rehab and group day treatment.
  • Assists the Clinical Director and/or Associate Clinical Director in development and implementation of written program goals and outcome criteria that guide and support the provision of services.
  • Demonstrates the ability to oversee multiple treatment teams that adhere to the CCBHC guidelines for care coordination.
  • Oversees program and basic flex fund budget and works closely with financial department in achieving this goal.
  • Responsible for program development of Supportive Services at Hope.
  • Provides input on the professional performance of individuals privileged to provide CCBHC services in the program.
  • Determines and approves staff training needs based on program need.
  • Responsible for ongoing knowledge of evidence-based practices and their implementation in this program.
  • Provides training in areas of crisis diversion and intervention to remain attentive to the needs of individuals and provide, as needed, debriefing related to incidents, incident reporting, consultation, etc.
  • Oversees and assists clients in transitioning from a higher intensity level of services to lower levels of intensity services/appropriate other programs.
  • Responsible for maintaining strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding consumer and family information.
  • Provides scheduling and supervising assigned staff in the provision of services, clinical record keeping, and reporting procedures.
  • Utilizes the philosophy of Collaborative/Therapeutic Documentation to meet clinical record keeping documentation standards and ensure documentation is completed with the Consumer to the extent possible and all documentation is completed on the same day of the date of service.
  • Participates in outreach and engagement efforts on the agency’s behalf to build and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Monitors and approves staff time sheets, leave requests, schedules, and travel based on program requirements and goals.
  • Will assist in providing new staff orientation and training; will provide clinical and agency supervision for staff as specified by Hope policy.
  • Ensures that staff monitor eligibility status and make applications for Social Security, Title XIX or HMOs (Medicaid), QMB, and other benefits for which the client may qualify.
  • Responsible for on-going knowledge of the course of treatment, needs, and special issues of program clients including co-occurring services.
  • May be required to work evening or weekend hours when projects or events present.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, therapists, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement program goals, objectives, and strategies in alignment with organizational mission and values.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and best practices in behavioral health services.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the program.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and outcomes, and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Oversee budget development and financial management for the program, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with community partners, stakeholders, and referral sources to enhance access to services and promote community integration.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, research, and best practices in behavioral health and integrate into program planning and delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision and support to staff, including training, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
  • Continually demonstrate exemplary leadership, with a positive attitude and behavior that fosters employee loyalty and engagement.
  • Proven critical thinking skills utilizing logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problem-solving.
