About The Position

Director of Community Living at Goldie Floberg Center plays a critical role in leading teams, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, and ensuring high-quality care across residential programs. This role involves overseeing the daily operations of CILA and Children’s Group Homes, ensuring safe, structured, and person-centered environments. The position combines leadership, direct support, and program oversight, requiring active involvement in homes and the community.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED (required)
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Ability to support individuals with behavioral and personal care needs
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a physically active role (lifting, standing, supporting individuals)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of CILA and Children’s Group Homes, ensuring safe, structured, and person-centered environments.
• Lead and support Direct Support Professionals and Program Schedulers.
• Ensure proper staffing, scheduling, and daily operations across assigned homes.
• Train, coach, and hold staff accountable to performance standards.
• Monitor site conditions and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Participate in CST meetings, incident reviews, and admissions/discharges.
• Oversee community outings, dietary programming, and individual supports.
• Step in to support shifts (including DSP duties) when needed.
