About The Position

The Crossings of Willmar Senior Living, a Lifespark Senior Living Community, is looking for a Director of Community Life/Activities Director to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring the development, organization, and coordination of facility and community resources to provide comprehensive Wellness/Recreation/Activity Services and programs that meet the needs and interests of each tenant. The Community Life Director provides an ongoing program of community life activities designed to meet the Physical, Social, Intellectual, Emotional, Spiritual, Vocational, and Environmental well-being of each tenant. The community offers Independent, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Professional experience in health care of at least 2 years
  • Must be compassionate and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the tenants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a Community Life program daily including evenings and weekends.
  • Purchase and maintain equipment and supplies and provide for their accessibility through organized storage.
  • Establish and Conduct, attend and participate in orientation, training, in-service education activities and staff meetings as assigned to maintain compliance.
  • Communicate programs and develop positive relations with tenants, family, and volunteers.
  • Ability to train and motivate others while acting as a role model and mentor.
  • Must be compassionate and have a desire to make a difference in the lives of the tenants.
  • Foster Family and Community support through the Community Program i.e. newsletters, networking, activities which bring Family members and members of the community into the building.
  • Contribute to the community efforts to maintain and / or improve quality of life and quality of care by participating in Care conferences, QAPI, and Department Head Meetings.
