Camillus House has been providing compassionate care and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness and other vulnerable populations in South Florida for more than 60 years. We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven leader to oversee our community-based housing programs and help advance our vision of ending homelessness through housing-focused services. You are a strategic, collaborative, and results-oriented leader with a passion for serving individuals and families experiencing homelessness. You have a strong understanding of community-based housing programs, housing regulations, and best practices, along with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex programs. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, build strong community partnerships, and are committed to fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and service excellence.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working with homeless and/or underserved populations.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible leadership or supervisory experience overseeing housing or human services programs.
  • Strong knowledge of Housing First, Coordinated Entry, HMIS, Continuum of Care Standards, Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing, and Homeless Prevention programs.
  • Experience managing program operations, budgets, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems and MIP accounting software preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • Cultural sensitivity and commitment to serving vulnerable populations with dignity and respect.
  • Valid Florida Driver License with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to successfully complete all pre-employment requirements, including drug screening, Level II background screening, local criminal background screening, and OIG screening.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred; Haitian Creole is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight of all assigned community-based housing programs to ensure high-quality service delivery and achievement of program outcomes.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives, program goals, and operational plans that support organizational priorities.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop management and program staff while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and contractual requirements, including Continuum of Care standards, Housing First principles, HMIS, and Coordinated Entry requirements.
  • Oversee program budgets, monitor financial performance, and ensure responsible stewardship of funding resources.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, government agencies, funders, and other stakeholders to strengthen housing opportunities and collaborative initiatives.
  • Monitor program performance, analyze outcomes, and implement quality improvement strategies to enhance services and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain program policies, procedures, and staff training materials that support operational excellence.
  • Represent Camillus House at community meetings, collaborative initiatives, and stakeholder events.
  • Participate as a member of the Agency's Emergency Response Team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
