About The Position

Quest is representing a premier international pressure testing equipment hire company that is establishing its first US operations hub in Houston, Texas. This is a senior, foundational hire where the Director of US Operations will be the first leader on the ground and will be instrumental in building and scaling the business in the region. This role is a combined senior leadership and operational management position responsible for the safe, efficient, and profitable establishment and execution of all US operations. This individual will own the full operational lifecycle, from standing up the Houston base and mobilizing the equipment fleet to managing daily field operations and staff.

Requirements

  • Must be a recognized subject matter expert in oil and gas pressure testing operations.
  • Deep knowledge of the local pressure testing market, including operators, service requirements, and the regulatory landscape.
  • Demonstrable experience managing pressure testing equipment assets, including certification, maintenance, and utilization.
  • Prior experience in a senior operational or general management role within oil and gas services or equipment hire.
  • Significant experience in oil and gas pressure testing, ideally in a senior technical capacity.
  • Proven background managing daily base/yard operations, including equipment, staff, and logistics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute with the ability to bridge operational and business development functions.

  • Ideally possesses established client relationships within the Houston/Gulf Coast pressure testing sector that can be leveraged from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement operational systems and procedures for the US business while ensuring the availability and maintenance of all rental assets.
  • Own full responsibility for HSE performance, regulatory compliance, and maintaining a safety-first culture across all US personnel.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the US operations personnel, building and scaling the team as the business grows.
  • Leverage existing relationships to generate early revenue and collaborate with business development to ensure technical feasibility for client proposals.
  • Manage operational expenditure within budgets and maximize revenue-generating deployment of the equipment fleet.
