About The Position

The Director of Clubs oversees the effective operation of club processes, systems, and resources. The role manages club operations, establishes logistics, secures facilities, and fosters a Christ-centered environment that promotes spiritual growth alongside athletic excellence. The Director also works to grow the number of clubs and participants through outreach strategies, stronger program offerings, and community relationships. At Battlefield FCA, this is a building and leadership role focused on creating Christ-centered club environments where athletes compete, coaches lead with purpose, and families are served. The Director uses sport as a platform to develop leaders, make disciples, strengthen families, and advance the Gospel, while building strong systems and leading people with spiritual passion and operational excellence. The position includes spiritual leadership and ministry, club operations and administration, coach and volunteer development, financial stewardship, donor and board engagement, and collaboration across FCA advancement areas. The Director is expected to follow FCA's Christian Community and conduct the role in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.

Responsibilities

Create a club calendar covering evaluations, practices, games, camps, and other ministry opportunities.
Train coaches by modeling, assisting, observing, launching them into their roles, and establishing mentorship and assistant-coaching opportunities.
Supervise tryouts or assessments, practices, and games to support both sport and ministry excellence.
Provide quality communication and ministry to parents.
Market the club and recruit families and athletes.
Address and resolve conflicts as needed.
Coordinate facility usage protocols with facility contacts.
Develop relationships with key staff members at local churches and integrate church involvement to support ministry beyond the sports season.
Complete FCA administrative requirements for registration, coach onboarding, financial stewardship, and training.
Register clubs in FCAOne and ensure training and implementation of the Club Management System (Sports Connect).
Oversee coach and volunteer onboarding through the Player's Health platform.
Manage club financial operations.
Organize evaluations, coach and referee training, practices, games, end-of-season tournaments, and celebration events.
Coordinate procurement and distribution of uniforms and equipment; order uniforms and coaches' gear through the FCA Gear specialist.
Secure facilities for training and competition by coordinating contracts, leases, and facility plans with the Support Center and appropriate FCA supervisors.
Recruit, qualify, train, and develop coaches and recruit additional club team members for administration, marketing, coach training, parent ministry, and other needs.
Develop staff and coaches in discipleship and sport using FCA resources and external conferences and materials; build leadership capacity for future club roles.
Foster a culture of serving others and build a community of coaches who grow, share, celebrate, and gather around their sport.
Implement FCA's comprehensive E3 Strategy for coaches, athletes, and parents, and lead discipleship and development opportunities for coaches, athletes, and families.
Connect with, communicate with, and care for existing and prospective financial partners to fund the club.
Steward finances, establish and execute an annual budget and funding plan, and grow support through the Home Team, major donors, and events.
Invite prospective donors to support the club financially.
Build a club leadership board to assist with prayer, sponsorship and donor outreach, conflict resolution, marketing, and other leadership needs.
Create fundraising opportunities for players and families and consistently connect with, communicate with, and care for donors and board members.
Follow FCA's Christian Community, maintain a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study, participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement, provide spiritual leadership through prayer, Bible study and worship, and conduct oneself according to FCA's biblical standards.
