About The Position

Edible Brands® was launched in 2022 to bring together powerful, purpose-led brands under one unified purpose: to enrich everyday life through celebration, nourishment, and wellness. Today, Edible Brands powers three bold and growing concepts across 700+ locations worldwide. Our portfolio spans Edible Arrangements®, the iconic gifting brand; Rōti®, a Mediterranean-inspired fast-casual restaurant; edibles.com™, a trusted marketplace for low-dosage THC & CBD wellness products; and BerryDirect®, our robust supply chain infrastructure. Together, these brands are fueled by The Edible Way—a set of employee-driven values that keep us committed, collaborative, adaptable, results-driven, and always ready to celebrate. We are looking for a highly technical, hand-on Director of Cloud Engineering & DevOps to own and evolve our Microsoft Azure platform that powers our e-commerce, mobile, and internal systems. This leader will be directly responsible for designing, building, and operating a modern cloud infrastructure that supports high-traffic digital experiences and mission-critical services. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to ensure our Azure environment is: highly available and scalable, observable and debuggable, secure and compliant, cost-efficient and performant. You should be equally comfortable with whiteboarding architecture, debugging production issues, and reviewing infrastructure as code.

  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure (this is a must-have)
  • Proven experience designing and operating production systems using: App Services and Function Apps, Azure networking (Front Door, Application Gateway, VNets, DNS), Application Insights and observability tooling, Key Vault and secure secret management
  • Strong experience supporting Node.js / API-driven architectures
  • Experience managing high-traffic, customer-facing platforms (e-commerce preferred)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM, etc.)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across infrastructure, networking, and application layers
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Demonstrated ability to own and resolve production incidents
  • Strong understanding of scalability, resiliency, and distributed systems

Nice To Haves

  • Strategic Agility & Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-changing environment, quickly adjusts to shifting business and technology needs, and leads infrastructure transformation with vision and flexibility.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Builds strong cross-functional relationships, fosters open communication, and leads to a partnership mindset across departments and external vendors.
  • Strong Work Ethic & Accountability: Takes full ownership of results, drives operational excellence, and consistently goes the extra mile to ensure systems are secure, stable, and high performing.
  • Customer-Centric Mindset: Prioritizes user experience in every decision, ensuring infrastructure and services enable seamless internal operations and exceptional external customer interactions.
  • Team Empowerment & People Development: Invests in growing, mentoring, and celebrating team members to build a high performing, engaged, and collaborative IT organization.
  • Calm Under Pressure & Crisis Management: Maintains composure and sound judgment during high-stakes situations, effectively leading teams through outages, incidents, or urgent challenges
