About The Position

The Director of Marketing Strategy is responsible for connecting Cardinal Group's management services with the company's full platform of marketing, technology, and operational solutions. This role partners closely with Business Development, Agency Fifty3, Portfolio teams, and cross-functional departments to drive adoption of Cardinal's value-added services including Agency Fifty3, CX3, Revenue Management, Centralization, and strategic partnerships. This position focuses on supporting new business acquisition by developing cohesive sales narratives, aligning marketing strategies, and guiding clients through the full Cardinal platform. The role also ensures smooth transition from sales to execution by coordinating contracted services, supporting onboarding, and maintaining alignment between clients and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in marketing, strategy, or sales enablement roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Director-level capacity.
  • Proven experience in the multifamily or student housing real estate industry.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, a passion for real estate and a desire to learn and grow
  • High proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot/Pardot), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or Looker)
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills required
  • Available to travel as needed

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Business Development team to develop cohesive sales narratives that position Cardinal as a full-platform partner.
  • Assist in development and refinement of pitch decks and presentation materials, ensuring alignment across Cardinal's products, services, and value proposition.
  • Develop marketing strategies for prospective clients that demonstrate the value of Cardinal's integrated platform.
  • Attend client pitches and presentations to speak specifically to marketing strategy, Agency FIFTY3, and platform capabilities.
  • Support Business Development team with storytelling of Cardinal's verticals, partnerships, and internal product offerings.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to drive an increase in the attachment and adoption rate of Agency FIFTY3, CX3, and other value-added services.
  • Guide clients through available services and recommend solutions based on asset needs and performance goals.
  • Proactively identify gaps in client experience and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and improve Cardinal’s overall scalability for new business.
  • Partner with Agency FIFTY3 and internal departments to define scope of services for new clients.
  • Coordinate execution of contracted marketing services including Agency FIFTY3 and third-party vendors.
  • Assist in organizing service selections, deliverables, and implementation timelines.
  • Ensure clear and highly accurate documentation of services pitched, contracted, and outstanding to reduce onboarding friction and administrative burden on operational teams.
  • Partner with Portfolio Sales & Marketing Managers (PSMs) to ensure alignment and awareness of contracted services.
  • Support onboarding of new clients with a focus on marketing, sales, and platform adoption.
  • Accelerate implementation timelines of marketing and technology services to ensure faster time-to-market for new clients.
  • Coordinate discovery and setup documentation for marketing and technology platforms.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely implementation of services at takeover.
  • Provide continuity between Business Development, onboarding, and operational teams.
