About The Position

We are currently hiring a Director of Civil Engineering to lead our civil practice from our Jacksonville, Florida office (relocation assistance available for qualified candidates). In this leadership role, you will guide both the technical execution and long-term strategy of civil engineering efforts tied to DoD projects. The position requires strong expertise in military design standards, cross-discipline coordination, and the ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team serving U.S. military clients, all while aligning with the company's Mission, Vision, and Values. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil/site design
  • Exposure to military or DoD infrastructure projects preferred
  • Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HEC-RAS, InfoDrainage, or similar
  • Working knowledge of federal contracting approaches, including Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design-Build (DB), and Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) in accordance with FAR guidelines
  • Strong familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, permitting processes, and codes
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).
