About The Position
Leading multi-disciplinary team is looking for a Director of Civil Engineering for their Ft. Lauderdale team! This role involves developing business strategies, building client relationships, managing and mentoring a team, and ensuring project and financial success.
Requirements
- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE License
- 12+ years of Civil design experience
- Broad civil engineering expertise and an understanding of basic FLA permitting requirements
- Experience managing staff/clients
- Authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship
Nice To Haves
- Experience with municipal and other public projects preferred
Responsibilities
- Develop, initiate and implement a business plan/strategy building
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Assist with business development opportunities
- Recruit/retain high performing team members
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Interact and collaborate with other Directors and company leaders across Florida and corporate wide
- Develop, manage and achieve financial metrics of the group, ensuring profitability and sustainable growth
- Monitor/direct project managers to achieve project and financial success overall projects within the group
- Negotiate contracts, fees, and terms with clients and other partners
- Ensure company high quality design standards are met
