About The Position

The Director of Child Care Services provides leadership and coordinates all activities related to the Child Care Center in accordance with organizational, state, and local requirements and best-practice standards defined by NAEYC and Keystone STARS. The Director creates a warm, nurturing, and safe environment for children by implementing a program philosophy that honors each child’s dignity and uniqueness and stimulates and sustains growth in all areas of early childhood development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education or a related field, such as Elementary Education, Child Development, or Special Education, with 9 credits in business or program administration; OR a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field, including 36 credits in early childhood education and 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Criminal history clearance, Child Abuse Clearance, and FBI fingerprinting.
• Must have or earn a Director Credential within 18 months of employment.
