About The Position

Proof of the Pudding is an award-winning catering and hospitality company based in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to oversee sales, catering, event execution, and client partnerships at the Douglasville Conference Center & Greystone Amphitheatre. This role serves as the primary liaison to our client-partner, the City of Douglasville, while leading all private event sales, food & beverage operations, and on-site execution. The ideal candidate brings a balance of sales leadership, operational excellence, financial acumen, and team development to drive revenue growth and exceptional guest experiences.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales, catering, event operations, or hospitality leadership
  • Proven experience managing client relationships and large-scale events
  • Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams in high-volume environments
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with CRM/BEO systems (Caterease, AllSeated/Prismm preferred)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for the City of Douglasville, ensuring strong communication, alignment, and long-term partnership success
  • Manage all events for the venue, ensuring seamless execution from initial inquiry through event completion
  • Lead all private client catering, food & beverage programming, and event execution
  • Drive catering and event revenue through proactive sales strategies, client relationship development, and upselling opportunities
  • Collaborate with clients to align event scope with budget while maximizing profitability
  • Partner with leadership to identify and implement revenue growth initiatives
  • Oversee all banquet and event operations, ensuring high standards of service and execution
  • Ensure detailed and accurate Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and seamless communication across departments
  • Maintain excellence in event logistics, staffing, and guest experience
  • Oversee financial reporting, forecasting, and budget management for the venue
  • Ensure accurate billing, cost controls, and timely reconciliation of all events
  • Monitor performance against revenue and expense goals, taking proactive action as needed
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and hourly staff
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide ongoing coaching and training
  • Oversee staffing plans, scheduling, and labor management to align with business needs
  • Partner with culinary and beverage teams to design innovative menus, promotions, and client-driven event concepts
  • Ensure offerings align with market trends, client expectations, and profitability goals
  • Ensure guest satisfaction scores exceed expectations
  • Uphold and continuously improve service standards across all events
  • Act as a visible leader during events to ensure quality and resolve issues in real time
