About The Position

The Cardiovascular Service Line Director provides strategic, operational, and clinical leadership for the cardiovascular service line. This role is responsible for the development, coordination, and performance of cardiovascular services across the continuum of care, including inpatient unit, cardiac catheterization laboratories, cardiovascular diagnostics, cardiac rehabilitation, cardiology clinic, and interventional radiology.  Accountable to the Chief Nursing Officer to maintain 24/7 leadership and supervision of designated departments so that safe, quality, cost-effective and comprehensive services are provided. Directs the nursing practice of professionals and support personnel in accordance with standards of practice as defined by the Kentucky Board of Nursing and in accordance with the Ephraim McDowell Health nursing professional practice model and collaborative interdisciplinary care delivery system.    The director partners closely with cardiologists, advanced practice providers, and hospital leadership to optimize clinical outcomes, enhance patient experience, and ensure financial sustainability. The position leads initiatives that advance quality metrics, operational efficiency, service growth, and physician alignment within the cardiovascular program..  Exhibits F.I.R.S.T values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service and Trust).

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of progressive leadership experience in cardiovascular services or hospital operations.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in healthcare leadership (NE-BC, NEA-BC, CNML, CENP) or cardiovascular specialty preferred (CV-BC, CVRN-BC, CMC, CSC).
