About The Position

United Way of Greater Atlanta (UWGA) is undergoing a significant transformation, implementing new strategies to increase revenue and expand its impact across the region. UWGA's mission is to unite people and resources to foster lasting and equitable improvements in the well-being of children, families, and individuals throughout Greater Atlanta. With an ambitious goal to triple unrestricted revenue by 2029, UWGA is establishing itself as a leading investor in child well-being, promoting solutions that dismantle barriers related to zip code and create long-term community benefits. The Multi-Year Campaign team is integral to UWGA’s fundraising strategy, managing donor engagement, campaign execution, and philanthropic partnerships. This team collaborates across Development, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to synchronize strategy, messaging, and operations in support of a multi-year aspirational giving campaign.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in campaign operations and communications
  • Ability to build and manage campaign timelines and workplans
  • Proficiency in project management systems
  • Skills in identifying, escalating, and resolving risks and roadblocks
  • Experience in drafting donor communications, proposals, and executive correspondence
  • Ability to develop one-pagers, briefing memos, and talking points
  • Experience creating presentations for leadership and donor meetings
  • Skills in drafting stewardship and recognition materials
  • Ability to ensure consistency and alignment of messaging
  • Experience leading review and approval processes for communications
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between leadership and campaign teams
  • Experience drafting communications on behalf of senior leadership
  • Ability to prepare executive briefing materials
  • Skills in ensuring leadership preparedness for meetings and solicitations
  • Ability to track high-priority donor interactions and deliverables

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage campaign timelines and workplans aligned with strategic priorities
  • Assign and manage priorities within project management systems
  • Monitor progress toward campaign milestones and goals
  • Identify, escalate, and resolve high-level risks and roadblocks
  • Maintain visibility into campaign progress for leadership
  • Draft donor communications, including emails, outreach messages, and executive correspondence
  • Write and edit proposals and proposal-related materials
  • Develop one-pagers, briefing memos, and talking points in partnership with marketing
  • Create presentations for Board of Directors, Executive Leadership, and donor meetings
  • Draft stewardship and recognition materials
  • Ensure consistency and alignment of messaging across all campaign materials
  • Lead review and approval processes for communications deliverables
  • Serve as primary liaison between Vice President, Executive Office, and campaign leadership
  • Draft communications on behalf of senior leadership
  • Prepare and finalize executive briefing materials for donor engagement and/or solicitation visits
  • Ensure leadership preparedness for meetings, solicitations, and engagements
  • Track status of high-priority donor interactions and deliverables
  • Own and finalize the full proposal lifecycle
  • Align donor communications with campaign priorities and strategy
  • Develop stewardship plans and donor-facing materials
  • Guide donor engagement approaches in collaboration with PGOs/PRMs
  • Assemble and refine proposals based on inputs from fundraisers
