About The Position

The Drexel Way: We don’t just sell lumber; we Supply. Happiness. Drexel is Team Member-owned and community-driven. With six retail hubs and three manufacturing plants across Wisconsin, we’ve been a Top Workplace every year since 2011. Why? Because we hire for heart and train for skill. When you join Team Blue, you aren't just a team member - you’re an owner. The Mission: As the Director of Cabinetry Sales, your primary objective is to fully own cabinetry category profitability, sales growth, job-site readiness, and team execution across your assigned territory. You are responsible for driving sales performance, ensuring On-Time In-Full (OTIF) project execution, managing Cabinetry Specialists, and enforcing strict custom inventory aging policies. As a dedicated sales leader reporting directly to VP of Sales, you ensure that our commitment to the local builder is executed flawlessly on every job site while eliminating matrix management burdens from location Cabinetry Quarterbacks (Account Managers). Defining the Role: Category Profitability & Revenue Growth: Drive top-line cabinetry growth, track account-level profitability, and prevent margin erosion on complex projects. Job-Site Readiness & OTIF Delivery: Direct job-site preparation standards, coordinate installation requirements, enforce OTIF commitments, and resolve field warranty escalations immediately. Inventory & Cash Flow Enforcement: Strictly enforce 45-, 75-, and 90-day custom cabinetry inventory aging reports to eliminate deadstock and protect cash flow. Specialist Leadership & Development: Oversee Cabinetry Quarterbacks (Account Managers), create structured onboarding pathways, and lead annual Cabinetry Training Camps. Executive Alignment: Participate in executive sales huddles with VP of Sales and peer Directors, removing category management responsibilities from branch Market Leaders/LBM Sales Managers. Multi-Location Territory Leadership: Own cabinetry sales strategy and execution across a multi-location market (territory boundaries determined based on candidate base location), while maintaining a required 1–2 day(s) weekly on-site presence at our Campbellsport, WI locations. What Success Looks Like: Performance is measured by your direct impact on sales performance, project readiness, and inventory health: Category Revenue & Margin Retention: Achieving regional sales growth targets while protecting account gross margins. Job-Site Readiness & OTIF Rate: Maintaining high On-Time In-Full project delivery scores and eliminating unbilled job-site preparation costs. Aged Custom Inventory Control: Eliminating custom cabinetry orders aged past 45, 75, and 90 days. Warranty Resolution Efficiency: Maintaining rapid resolution times for job-site warranty issues and customer escalations. Workload Driver: The primary workload metric is total regional cabinetry sales volume, active job-site projects, and sales support team headcount managed.
