About The Position

SSM Health Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical & SSM Health, is seeking a Director of Business Development to join their collaborative leadership team in Oklahoma City, OK. This hospital is dedicated to providing exceptional and compassionate care for individuals with a wide range of conditions including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Director of Business Development will serve as a mentor to the admissions team, focusing on developing and growing their staff. This role is ideal for a strong leader passionate about rehabilitation and skilled in building and nurturing community relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Five or more years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing
  • Three or more years of team management experience
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement and regulatory standards
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
  • Proven success in relationship development and training/mentoring of team members
  • Ability to work effectively with direct reports and hospital leadership to achieve hospital budgets and positive patient outcomes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s preferred
  • Clinical experience as a Registered Nurse or Rehab Therapist (strongly preferred)
  • Inpatient services marketing in the local market is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the team in the field, focusing on relationship-building with hospital leaders.
  • Remove obstacles and enhance team training and development.
  • Work with hospital directors and CEOs to strategize admissions and streamline processes.
  • Develop effective messaging and utilize data to guide best practices.
  • Oversee a team of Clinical Liaisons and Admissions Coordinators in developing and nurturing professional relationships with physicians, discharge planners, payers, and other clinicians in acute care hospitals.
