About The Position

River Vista Behavioral Health is a new, 128-bed facility located along the bluffs overlooking the San Joaquin River, dedicated to providing high-quality and advanced behavioral health services to the Central Valley. The hospital will employ over 250 individuals, including clinicians, nurses, mental health technicians, support staff, and administration. The Director of Business Development is a key member of the Senior Management Staff, responsible for leading Community Education/Business Development efforts and for the creation and ongoing enhancement of the facility’s business development plan. This role involves collaborating with the Chief Executive Officer and other senior leaders to design, develop, implement, and direct strategic business development goals, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems, while also overseeing the entire Business Development Department. The position requires reporting on, analyzing, and presenting current market data and trends, and subsequently recommending and implementing appropriate strategic Business Development plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field is required.
  • At least three (3) years’ director or manager level experience in a health care business development position.
  • Extensive community education/ business development experience resulting in measurable results.
  • Direct experience developing managed care agreements (especially with capitation and at-risk areas).
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree a plus.
  • Combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Detailed knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment principles highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the Community Education/Business Development efforts.
  • Developing and continuously refining the facility’s business development plan.
  • Designing, developing, implementing and directing the business development strategic goals, philosophy, policies, procedures, and systems.
  • Overseeing all of the Business Development Department.
  • Reporting, analyzing and presenting current market data and trends.
