About The Position

The Director of Business Development & Marketing is responsible for developing and executing strategic growth initiatives to increase referrals, admissions, brand awareness, and community engagement for an adolescent behavioral health facility. This role serves as the primary liaison between the facility and referral sources, including hospitals, schools, therapists, psychiatrists, pediatricians, community organizations, insurance providers, and other healthcare partners. The Director will cultivate referral relationships, oversee marketing initiatives, identify new business opportunities, and collaborate with admissions and clinical teams to ensure sustainable census growth while maintaining compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations. This can be a Part Time or Full Time Position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase admissions and facility census.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources, including: Hospitals and emergency departments, Behavioral health providers, Private practice therapists, Psychiatrists and psychologists, School districts and guidance counselors, Pediatricians and primary care physicians, Community agencies and advocacy groups.
  • Conduct regular outreach visits, presentations, and networking events.
  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities that align with the facility's mission and growth objectives.
  • Maintain a robust referral pipeline and track referral source activity.
  • Work closely with the Admissions Department to facilitate referral-to-admission conversion.
  • Monitor referral trends and admission data to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure timely communication with referral sources regarding patient placement and service availability.
  • Assist in developing strategies to improve conversion rates and patient access.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for referral partners and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships through regular communication and follow-up.
  • Address concerns and resolve issues promptly to maintain referral source satisfaction.
  • Develop referral source retention strategies.
