About The Position

Sodexo Canada is seeking a Director of Business Development – Energy & Resources to drive profitable new business growth across Eastern Canada (MB, SK, ON, and Nunavut). This role will focus on mining, industrial operations, remote workforce accommodations, energy and infrastructure projects, and integrated food and facilities management environments. The successful candidate will lead complex pursuits involving services such as food services, housekeeping, janitorial, facilities management, and hospitality and camp support services. While Energy & Resources experience is valuable, the primary focus is on strong business development capability, complex sales experience, executive relationship skills, and a proven ability to win. Candidates from other complex B2B industries with strong hunting capability and strategic sales discipline are encouraged to apply. The role requires strong business acumen, executive presence, resilience, curiosity, and the ability to lead sophisticated pursuits from early-stage relationship development through contract award. Success requires balancing strategic sales activity with building respectful, long-term Indigenous and community relationships grounded in trust, credibility, and partnership.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of successful quota-carrying business development experience
  • Proven track record winning complex, multi-year service or outsourcing contracts
  • Experience selling outsourced operational services, facilities management, hospitality, workforce accommodation, industrial support services, or other complex B2B solutions
  • Demonstrated success developing new business in competitive environments
  • Experience managing sophisticated RFP and solution-based sales processes
  • Fully bilingual in French and English
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills
  • High level of professionalism and business acumen
  • Strong negotiation and closing capabilities
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office capabilities including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel regularly across Quebec and other target regions (approximately 30–40%)
