About The Position
The Director of Beverage at Rosewood Calistoga is the strategic leader responsible for creating and delivering a luxury beverage program that reflects Calistoga, Napa Valley, and Rosewood’s commitment to Relationship Hospitality. The role oversees beverage operations throughout the resort, including restaurants, bars, lounges, banquets, in-room dining, and special events. It drives innovation, operational excellence, guest satisfaction, financial performance, and team development, while helping strengthen the resort’s reputation as a premier luxury destination. The Director partners closely with culinary leadership, restaurant management, event operations, sales and marketing teams, and resort leadership. The role also develops community partnerships and future hospitality leaders, while ensuring beverage experiences meet Rosewood brand standards and luxury hospitality expectations.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a beverage leader in luxury hotels, resorts, fine dining restaurants, or high-end hospitality environments.
- Deep understanding of wine, spirits, cocktails, beverage trends, and luxury beverage operations.
- Demonstrated success developing innovative beverage programs that drive guest engagement, revenue growth, and brand distinction.
- Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and developing hospitality professionals.
- Strong financial acumen and confidence managing budgets, forecasts, inventory controls, and beverage profitability.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
- Passion for Napa Valley’s wine culture and understanding of authentic, destination-driven guest experiences.

- Hold or be pursuing advanced beverage or wine certifications such as CMS, WSET, or equivalent professional credentials.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for all resort beverage operations in alignment with Rosewood brand standards and luxury hospitality expectations.
- Curate and oversee wine, cocktail, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic beverage programs that celebrate Napa Valley and elevate the guest experience.
- Develop partnerships with local wineries, distributors, and beverage producers to create distinctive guest experiences.
- Lead beverage menu development, pricing strategies, seasonal offerings, and program innovation across outlets and events.
- Drive financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, cost controls, and revenue optimization.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and inspire high-performing beverage teams.
- Maintain exceptional service standards and create beverage-driven experiences that build guest loyalty and enhance the resort’s reputation.
- Ensure compliance with beverage regulations, responsible alcohol service programs, and Rosewood operational standards.
