About The Position

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience as an Assistant Director of Banquets within a large convention hotel or conference center, or previous experience as a Director of Banquets. This individual will bring a strong floor presence, a hands-on leadership style, and a proven ability to elevate service standards while developing and inspiring high-performing teams. Requirements

  • At least three years of experience as an Assistant Director of Banquets within a large convention hotel or conference center, or previous experience as a Director of Banquets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead administration of banquet functions: Direct all banquet operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, food and beverage quality, new account acquisition, inventory management, cost controls, and systems management
  • Drive service standards enhancements: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of departmental service guidelines and standards
  • Analyze service trends and satisfaction: Continuously monitor service trends and guest satisfaction, proactively identifying issues and implementing strategies for improvement
  • Cultivate a high-performing team: Drive engagement and retention through performance management, professional development, and recognition programs
  • Uphold regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness standards, maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for guests and team members
