About The Position

The Four Seasons Resort Lāna’i is looking for a Director of Banquets who shares a passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do. Our teams’ have the opportunity to shape our guest experience by providing exceptional knowledge of the Resort and exemplifying the Golden Rule in each interaction. Work authorization required.

Requirements

• Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in United States (unless the candidate is currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location as they may qualify for a L-1 Visa sponsorship)
• Required by the Hawaii State Department of Health to obtain a Tuberculous (TB) clearance card
• Maui Liquor Card and Hawaii Food Handler’s Card is required for this role
• Hawaii Driver’s Abstract is required for this role
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and push/pull as needed during shifts

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of banquet team management, including hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluation while fostering a strong service culture and developing future leaders
• Oversee financial performance by managing labor, budgets, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls to ensure operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility
• Direct all banquet operations for meetings, conferences, weddings, and events, ensuring seamless execution through collaboration with culinary, catering, and event teams
• Maintain a visible leadership presence, build strong guest relationships, and resolve concerns promptly to ensure exceptional service and guest satisfaction
• Ensure adherence to service standards, policies, and quality benchmarks, implementing improvements based on operational feedback and performance metrics
• Communicate effectively across teams and departments to coordinate operations, support event execution, and maintain a high standard of service and presentation
