About The Position

Hacienda Del Sol Resort is seeking a highly organized and experienced Director of Banquets to oversee all banquet operations at our esteemed resort in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will lead a dedicated team to deliver exceptional event experiences, ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience in banquet management or related hospitality leadership role.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of budgeting, scheduling, and inventory control.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Knowledge of banquet operations, health and safety standards, and event planning software.
Proven training and computer skills with ability to to effectively use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time and the ability to work indoors and outdoors

Nice To Haves

MICROS and Opera experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize, and execute all banquet events including weddings, corporate functions, and private parties.
Manage banquet staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Collaborate closely with the culinary team, sales department, and other resort staff to ensure successful event delivery.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and exceed expectations.
Monitor budgets, manage inventory, and ensure profitability of banquet operations.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Continuously improve banquet services by gathering guest feedback and implementing effective solutions.
