Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of five years of experience in intercollegiate athletics or related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve athletic related issues under pressure
  • Knowledge of NAIA legislation

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Eight years of experience in intercollegiate athletics

Responsibilities

  • Develop, oversee, and administer all intercollegiate sport programs, as well as all administrative functions (Athletic Health Care, Strength & Conditioning, Academic Support, Sports Information, and Compliance/Operations).
  • Cast vision, create strategy, and execute on responsibilities at a high level of performance.
  • Oversee all departmental employees and ensure the appropriate personal and professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate the development of long-term strategies for athletic department growth and facility planning.
  • Prepare and administer annual budget for the athletic department and oversee the budget accountability for all sport programs.
  • Prepare internal and external annual assessment plans of the department.
  • Identify and lead fundraising activities for athletics and the university.
  • Increase/sustain competitiveness of Life University athletic programs.
  • Attend all conference and national meetings when necessary.
  • Display strong leadership skills while working in a high pace, competitive environment.
  • Serve on President Advisory Group and represent the institution in the public and media on appropriate athletic-related matters.
  • Serve on institutional committees when needed.
  • Performs additional responsibilities/duties as required and performs special projects as needed or requested.
