About The Position

SummitRidge Hospital is seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Assessment to oversee the assessment and referral delivery system for their behavioral health facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the timely and courteous response to all intake and crisis line calls and for coordinating the delivery of psychiatric and chemical dependency assessments. The Director of Assessment will maintain strong professional and community relationships to support referral development, oversee intake department operations, and ensure departmental standards are met. This position is also responsible for securing 24-hour coverage and overseeing both on-site and off-site assessments. The Director will collaborate with clinical, operational, and administrative leadership to support service excellence, monitor workflow, staffing, and quality metrics within the assessment department, and support continuous improvement efforts to enhance access to care and patient experience.

Requirements

• BS, BA, and/or RN with a minimum of two years experience in mental health including crisis intervention with psychiatric and chemical dependency clients
• Strong clinical skills to provide accurate and thorough assessments
• Strong organizational skills to ensure accurate and consistent management of information
• Reliable self-starter with strong work ethic and high energy level
• Progressive clinical leadership experience

Responsibilities
