About The Position

The Director of Aquatics will be responsible for all facets of the indoor and outdoor aquatic departments. The position will include the development and administration of the department; program development and promotion, implementation and evaluation, staff scheduling and supervision, and financial operation in accordance with Center and Association goals, objectives and policies.

Requirements

• Degree in physical education, or a related field, or its equivalent in experience
• Current certifications in aquatics
• Must be able to swim
• Pass CPR certification
• Pass lifeguarding exams
• High degree of organizational and supervisory skills
• Knowledge of pool operations (water quality, cleanliness, protocols)
• Skills in program development and implementation
• Skills in fiscal control
• Skills in written communications
• Must be a team player with strong human relations skills

Responsibilities

• Development and administration of the department

• Interpret program objectives to members and participants
• Communicate within and between communities and organizations
